So, this is Chuckles.

He doesn’t have his legs. Or his gun. Or that holster that goes around his waist.

I was a fan of this figure when I was a kid. Loved the shirt. But at the time my image of the character was dictated by G.I. Joe: The Movie, which featured him as strong and silent, but none too bright. This isn’t at all how he’s depicted in the comics.

‘G.I. Joe: Strike’ is a fun bit of Snake Eyes action on your phone

I was just browsing through the app store on my Android phone when I decided to search ‘g.i. joe’.

I was a little surprised when I came across the one and only G.I. Joe game in the app store. G.I. Joe: Strike, from Backflip Studios, is a thumb-tapping action game. You take on a barrage of red-garbed ninja as they attack you from the left and right in this 2D scroller.

You need to stay on your toes, as they come at you randomly. There are regular ninjas, and bigger ones where you have to kick them several times, or right and left.

Roadblock is back on the block

This one had me feeling fine. Roadblock is one of my favorite Joes, and that’s no lie.

As I pulled together the remnants of my aging G.I. Joe collection, I discovered that I had Roadblock’s torso and his legs, but was missing the poor guy’s waist. A few eBay purchases later, and I not only had the waist but a few duplicates of his heavy machine gun.
