‘Joe on Joe’ podcast is required listening for G.I. Joe fans

'Joe on Joe' podcast is great fun.
‘Joe on Joe’ podcast is great fun.

Since I got into listening to podcasts in the past year, I’ve found some real fun gems.

One of them is the “Joe on Joe” podcast.

Hosted by a fellow named Joe Slepski, he provides fun commentary to each episode of the series. He was mostly solo at the beginning, but as the series progressed he got some pretty fun guests, including IDW G.I. Joe comics writer Aubrey Sitterson and Kevin Umbricht, who was behind the hilarious Funny or Die video, Ballad of G.I. Joe.

There’s also, of course, Slepski’s wife, Rebekah Walendzak, who participates in several episodes.

I know I really enjoy the series. It even had me revisiting the show. Found that it was more fun if I watched the episode before listening. Slepski’s not necessarily an expert on the series, but he makes some fun observations of the series. And the conversations with his guests are entertaining as they generally geek out on G.I. Joe, or other things that are related to the series.

In addition to the episode commentary, Slepski highlights a different character each episode, examining the famed character cards that came with each figure. Plus, if you check out his Facebook page, you seem some really cool images of the characters, too.

I encourage any and all Joe fans to check it out, if you haven’t already.

You can find it on iTunes, but other podcast sources as well. Also give him a follow on Twitter and like the show’s Facebook page.
