Spearhead reassembled but sans Max

Spearhead was a colorful character who I never would have gotten unless it was a gift.

Well, he’s back together again.

Wait… who the heck is this guy?

In all honesty, I can look at all my remaining G.I. Joe action figures and remember when I got them. Birthday, Christmas, random purchase. I have pretty distinct memories for each of them.

But… Spearhead? Who the heck is this orange and tan dude?

I focused on this figure in the first video I did for Joes Reassembled. And I noted in it that I think he was a gift. The more I think on that, the more I lean towards that explanation. I believe he was a random Christmas gift, coming in around the tail end of my G.I. Joe hayday. He represents to me the point at which the Joe figures started to get more cartoonish in their design.

That’s about the time I stopped collecting them.

I’d go on to still play with the figures I had. I even made simplistic animated videos using them. But I didn’t like all the crazy colors and silly names.

Either way, Spearhead has been fixed. His waist was a replacement part, but the rest are all original to my collection. And I still have his backpack and rifle. Unfortunately, couldn’t tell you what happened to Max, or Spearhead’s knife and helmet.
